This is only my second post. I’m going to try and blog daily if I can. It helps with the SEO so I can show up in search results when you are searching for photographers, photoblogs, videographers, etc. I travel nationwide to weddings, but mostly servicing all of Oklahoma, Northwest Arkansas, Eureka Springs, North Texas, Southern Kansas, New Mexico. Those surrounding states of Oklahoma, as I’m in between Oklahoma City and Tulsa. It’s a few hours to North Texas, Grapevine, Dallas, Fort Worth, or Eureka Springs. I have an office for meetings by appointment only in Seminole, Oklahoma. I frequent Ada and Shawnee most often.
I do not have a portrait studio. I don’t work out of a studio because most of my work is on-site documentary or fine art, either elopements, weddings, or engagements. There are studios for rent in Oklahoma for when I rarely need them. I love the outdoors. The backyard, barn, garden, or other nature elopements or weddings. I also love the low lit venues, such as the Marland Mansion in Ponca City, or sunset weddings for a chance to use Ilford Delta 3200 or Porta 800.
The photo in this post is of my three dogs, my babies! Taken in Galveston. From left to right: Cleo (15), Vincent(15), and August(13). My sister is behind them. This was a few years ago, but remains one of my favorites.
I’m not sure if blogging on here often will make much of a difference. I’m not advertising. I’m trying to find organic connections without advertisements. I think that is best done just from posing regularly to this blog, Facebook, and social medias like Instagram or YouTube. I’m historically and currently very lazy with social media posting or any type of publishing. So, starting now, moving forward. But it’s so daunting to me.
I love to photograph, capture, document, edit and develop. But, post? publish? Never find the time. But that’s historically, and no longer so. I’m finishing up three different rolls of film right now on three different cameras. Nikon fm2, Nikon 801s, and Nikon l35af. I can’t wait to share those here.
Today I finished my hibiscus flower logo and chose my branding colors. I’ve decided to do the consistent branding thing. You can see the logo now as the favicons on my websites. I love color. Tropical colors, vacation themes, hawaiian leis, summer season, pools, beaches. Ektar 100 film is my favorite for these reasons.
